No#015: Double border asymmetric pictorial medallion masterpiece by Master Karim Seirafian

This stunning masterpiece (Zaronim ~1.6 x 1.1 m; 1200 kheft; ~900 KPSI) by Karim Seirafian shows beautiful harmony and balance in colors and design. In the first glance, it appears to be a typical and classic 1/4 asymmetric medallion design. However, you soon realize that with exception of the medallion and the four corners (Lachaks) the design is completely asymmetric pictorial. This combination of asymmetric and symmetric design is intention to produce harmony and balance. The double border creates beautiful elegance. The external border is a fence to the Persian Garden.  This rug is one of the most beautiful and superb work by the third generation Seirafians we have ever come across.
